Anthony N. Ashgriz

Anthony N. Ashgriz is a senior partner at UIPatent. He received his J.D. form the school of Law at the State University of New York, in 1996. He is admitted to the New York Bar Society and is registered US patent attorney since 1999 with Patent Attorney registration # 44514. He is licensed to practice before the United State Patent and Trademark Office and has filed more that 1000 patent applications.
Anthony is the author of four books and over 300 articles. His book on “Patent Pending In Eight Simple Steps: File Your Own Patent Application.” teaches the process of preparing and filing a patent application for everyone’s use.
Anthony is also a professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. Prior to U of T, he was a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, New York. He obtained his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. He is a fellow of American and Canadian Societies of Mechanical Engineers (ASME and CSME), fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) and fellow of American Association for Advancement of Science (AAAS). He has been a visiting scientist at several national laboratories including NASA Lewis Research Center and Phillips Laboratory at Edwards Air Force Base.
