Mike Falahati

Mike Falahati is a partner at UIPatent, he is a dedicated researcher and engineer with over 20 years of experience in multiple engineering disciplines, including materials sciences, mechanical engineering, automation, medical devices, and 3D printing technologies. He holds a master’s degree in Material Science and Engineering and has spent the last 12 years specializing in intellectual property (IP).

Mike specializes in the assessment of new technologies, the preparation and prosecution of patent applications worldwide. He drafts and prosecutes patent applications in various jurisdictions and advises clients on filing strategies and patent validity. Mike provides strategic advice and conducts thorough due diligence reviews of patent portfolios. He offers guidance on IP management and strategic planning, having prepared numerous patentability, infringement, and validity opinions. Additionally, Mike is specialized in trademark law and branding, helping clients protect their brand identities.

Mike assists clients in identifying their intellectual property needs and has successfully secured patents for a diverse clientele, including start-ups, small to medium-sized companies, major multinational corporations, and university researchers. He has proven invaluable in protecting patent rights across a variety of technologies, including automotive, medical devices, 3D printing, household consumer products, industrial equipment, electronic devices, construction equipment, communication systems, solar power devices, educational technology, gaming devices, and cleantech systems.

With his extensive experience in multiple engineering disciplines, Mike can also help clients develop working prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), providing practical solutions to bring their innovations to life.
