Dr. Nasser Ashgriz

Dr. Nasser Ashgriz is a registered U.S. patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the Chairman of UIPatent Inc.

With a strong background in mechanical engineering, he earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. His career combines engineering research, technology development, and intellectual property protection.

Dr. Ashgriz is a Professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining the University of Toronto, he was a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

He has also served as a visiting scientist at national laboratories, including NASA Lewis Research Center and Phillips Laboratory at Edwards Air Force Base.

Dr. Ashgriz is a Fellow of professional organizations including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineers (CSME), Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
